Photographing writers or other artists is always a pleasure. I love creative people and feel so inspired to capture them in the best way.

Spring and summer dresses are so darling and I love photographing them! This little blue dress that Whitney wore in NYC is chic and flattering.
Shooting indoors is a must in Seattle. I try to set my client up next to a window to get some natural light onto their face. I try to make sure to capture the location as well to creative some interesting images! When shooting at a cafe or restaurant I always ask first before I start and try to get their right when they open so they are not busy and we are not annoying their costumers!
Props can make a session a bit more elevated. It doesn't have to be anything big or fancy. In this session we used an old fashioned Coke bottle!
Just a nice basic session here today. Some full body shots and some portraits mixed in with some simple detail shots!
Sessions can be short and fun like a coffee date with a friend. Coffee is a great prob and always a good idea.
When I go to a very popular location like the Arch in Washington Square park in New York I try to get the shot that we are there for but I also try to get some around the area. Here we did some street crossing shots away from the park and out the arch in the background so we still see it. We also did a few walking through the park towards the arch to get more of the park surrounding it. I just like to make sure that most of the images are still about the outfit and not over powered by the location.
One thing I try to do in my blogger sessions is give a mix of indoor and outdoor images if possible! Just to give a more options for posting the images on all different social media platforms feel different and special.
